nukko is an archive of the Instagram accounts of Korean reality show cast members, organised by program and season. It exists for the moment right after an episode airs, when you want to know who that person was.
Why this site exists
Search a cast member's name the day after an episode airs and you get forum threads, blog posts from years ago, and lists that each name a different handle. There is no way to tell which one is right without opening every account, and most people give up before they do.
A wrong handle does not only waste the searcher's time. One aggregator listed the account of Yeongsu from I Am SOLO season 30 with an extra underscore at the end of the handle. That account belonged to a Portuguese skincare brand with three followers. Had that list sent people there, the brand would have received direct messages without ever knowing why.
So this site checks one line at a time instead of growing the list. It publishes only what has been verified, and says so plainly where nothing was found.
What is listed
Every cast member is in one of three states.
- Account verified — there is evidence the account belongs to that person. The handle is stored along with the date it was checked and what was checked.
- No account — the search was done, and no public account exists. That is a result, not a failure.
- Searching — not yet verified. Weak candidates stay here rather than going up.
Keeping “No account” as its own state is the clearest thing about this site. Filling an empty slot with a plausible handle makes the list look complete, but the wrong line lands on someone who has nothing to do with the show. A line that says nothing was found saves the next visitor from repeating the same search.
How accounts are verified
A handle goes up only if one of these holds. The higher on the list, the stronger the evidence, and almost every account currently listed came from the first.
- The person says so on the account itself — the program and season appear in the display name, bio, or story highlights, or there is a post after the finale introducing themselves by their name on the show.
- Two independent sources name the same handle, and opening the account confirms the profile and follower count line up.
- Several specific identifying details reported in the press — a real name, the name of a shop or clinic they run, a former career, things unlikely to coincide — match the profile, and the account was opened to confirm it exists and is public. This is the weakest of the three, used rarely; a handful of currently listed accounts rest on it.
Either way the Instagram page is opened directly. Being written down in someone's list is never enough on its own — the account has to exist, be public, and have a profile that matches the person.
The date of the check and what was checked are recorded with the handle. Accounts change and disappear, so a fact with no date behind it is not evidence.
What is never listed
- Private accounts, including any account whose visibility could not be confirmed because of a login wall.
- Accounts that clearly belong to the right season but cannot be tied to a specific cast member.
- Accounts that other people pointed at in comments or tags. However plausible it looks, if the person did not say it themselves it is a guess.
- Accounts that match a single identifying detail from a news article. There are plenty of people with the same job, the same city, and the same age. Several specific details have to line up before the third standard above is met.
- Press coverage alone. Korean outlets do not print handles by convention, and smaller ones repeat forum guesses as fact.
Working through a single season, more than half of the candidates reported as “found” are rejected for these reasons. Six handles printed in one news site's “complete season 28 Instagram roundup” matched no real account at all — the list had been invented. Another handle circulating as season 28's Yeongho turned out to belong to the wedding photographer who shot the couple.
Photos
Where a photo appears, its only source is the person's own Instagram profile picture. Screen captures from the broadcast are not used — the copyright there belongs to the production company, which makes it a different question from a request by the person themselves. Images are never hotlinked from another server.
Programs covered
The site started with I Am SOLO and added Single's Inferno. What the cast are called on air differs by program — I Am SOLO uses aliases such as Yeongsu and Oksun, while Single's Inferno uses real names. The name used on the show is the large one on screen, with the real name, age, and occupation on the line beneath it as far as they are known.
A new program starts as a season skeleton; the cast list is confirmed first, then the accounts. A season whose cast list has not been confirmed is left as “cast list in progress” rather than guessed at. Season sizes differ, so stamping in a default roster would invent people who were never on the show.
How often it changes
A season still on air can barely be filled in at all, because cast members lock their accounts before broadcast. A month or two after the finale the introduction posts start appearing, and that is when a season gets filled.
Seasons are revisited rather than swept once. One season sat at 1 of 12 right after its finale and reached 12 of 12 a few months later. A low verification rate is usually a matter of time.
